Dr. Bo Crofoot

Extra teeth and extreme overcrowding were a few issues that led Dr. Crofoot to spend a lot of time in his dentist’s treatment chair as a child. It was then that he realized he wanted to help others in the same way! He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Creighton University. Since then, he has undergone advanced training, allowing him to help patients with everything from effective sedation to state-of-the-art dental implants near St. Anthony. For him, helping others live a happier, healthier life is extremely rewarding!

Dr. Crowfoot loves being a dentist! So good at his craft and stays up on the research in his field. Really a dental nerd! I had a root canal today and actually dosed off in the chair that's how good he is. He explains what he is doing and why and provides options. The staff at Cornerstone is also very helpful and really nice! I highly recommend this practice.

How do I find the best place to get dental work done?

If you want to find a dentist near St. Anthony who can provide the best dental work, it’s important that you consider what is most important to you. Do you prefer a dental office that is close to your work or home? Do you want someone who is in-network with your dental insurance plan? Are you looking for a family dentist who can provide services to every member of your family? Once you identify the criteria you’re looking to meet, you can better determine where you and your family’s oral healthcare needs are best met. At Cornerstone Dental, we are a family dentistry that believes in caring for patients of all ages. How do I get emergency dental care?

Finding an emergency dentist near St. Anthony shouldn’t feel like a hopeless battle. Instead, you are welcome to call our office and schedule an appointment. Alerting us to the situation will help our team to determine the severity of the problem and better understand if you should come in right away. While we do offer same-day appointments for emergency patients, we can also offer helpful tips you can use at home while you wait to see one of our dental experts.

We know not all dental emergencies are preventable, but if you’re maintaining a healthy diet, keeping up with your oral hygiene routine, and continuing to see your dentist near St. Anthony for your six-month dental checkups and cleanings, you’ll be able to avoid many of the most common dental injuries.

What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?

Do you have dental insurance? If so, you’re already a step ahead. Choosing to enroll in a dental insurance plan will save you lots of money in your pursuit of better oral health. Finding a dentist near St. Anthony who is in-network will do even more to lower your out-of-pocket expenses. But if you’re uninsured or need help to pay for complex dental care that is not covered by your insurance company, there’s still hope. Flexible financing options through CareCredit can help you stay within your budget while receiving preventive, restorative, or even emergency dental treatment. It’s important that you never put off or neglect your oral healthcare needs no matter your financial situation. The key takeaway is the longer you wait to see a dentist, the greater your risk for serious oral health problems to develop.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

Any dentist near St. Anthony who wants to practice in the United States must receive the appropriate dental degree from an accredited university or institution. This can include a Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery. It is necessary to receive a bachelor’s degree before being admitted or accepted into dental school, and individuals who choose to enroll can expect their program to last at least three years. During this time, textbook instruction and hands-on training are provided. If a dental student decides to pursue a specialized field, they will need to complete additional schooling and training, which can require three more years before being allowed to practice. Currently, the American Dental Association (ADA) recognizes 12 specializations.

To maintain their license once finished with school, dentists must complete a certain number of continuing education hours each year.

Dr. Snarr has more than 30 years of experience in the field and attended Creighton Dental School for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Crofoot has more than 15 years of experience working as a dentist and also earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University. In addition, Dr. Crofoot completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD).
